The ritual of the meal forges strong bonds. Connections made between friends over great food, cold drinks, and around a roaring fire are what we think summer is all about. And so, to make the remaining summer days as memorable as possible, we’ve partnered with our dear friends and fellow Austin-based company, Tecovas, to craft the ultimate summer grill set. Tecovas produces their cowboy boots and western wear with the same care and attention we bring to our kitchen tools. They use high-quality raw materials and the finest artisans to bring age-old craftsmanship to their products. This summer, in celebration of gathering and dining together again, we’re proud to present the Made In x Tecovas Grill Collection.

This set features three new products: a Limited Edition Carving Knife made out of Yew Wood, perfect for slicing up meat, a Waxed Twill Knife Roll, designed to fit all your Made In Knives and Accessories, and a Leather Frying Pan Handle Cover, which will provide a heat-resistant, comfortable, and sturdy grip while cooking over a fire.

Everyone Needs a Carving Knife

Our Carving Knife features a Yew Wood handle and a 9” blade, allowing you to precisely and evenly cut your rib roasts, roast chickens or turkeys, or glazed hams. It is also perfect for trimming any fat off of your steaks. The long blade produces clean, uniform cuts of meat, while the sharp, tapered point allows you to cut into grittier pieces with ease.

Safely Transport and Store Your Knives

Say goodbye to showing up to a friend’s house, a BBQ, or a campfire and having to rely on dull knives. With our Waxed Twill Knife Roll, you can carry up to eight knives and a wide variety of accessories anywhere you go. This knife roll features eight slots for your knives (all Made In ones fit) and a nylon zipper for microplanes, tweezers, peelers, and more. It is also outfitted with a leather strap and handle for an easy carry.

Stay Comfortable While Cooking

Our Leather Frying Pan Handle Cover is made from Harness Leather and fits on all of our Carbon Steel Frying Pans and on our Wok as well. This cover keeps the handle from getting hot while cooking over an open fire. With an extremely comfortable and sturdy handle grip, you can say goodbye to burnt hands.

Cooking With the Pros

We recently spent a whole day cooking (and eating) with chef Tavel Bristol-Joseph and chef Kevin Fink, both of who are instrumental to making the Austin dining scene so wonderful to be a part of. Together, they own and lead Emmer & Rye, Hestia, Kalimotxo, Henbit, and TLV here in Austin. Kevin whipped up the ultimate steak sandwich, featuring perfectly grilled Wagyu ribeye, Anaheim chilies, Oaxaca cheese, and fresh herbs. For dessert, Tavel made his famous s’mores. The trick? A layer of peanut butter on the graham and a split banana sandwiched between all the chocolatey and marshmallow goodness.

As the summer comes to a close, spend more time outside with tools that you can trust to deliver endless memories and perfect meals. And even as the weather starts to change and the leaves start to turn colors, bundle up around a fire, grill up some steaks, roast some s’mores, and indulge in the great outdoors.
