Easy For You, Better For The Environment.
Welcome to the Made In Recycling Program! We've partnered with select Habitat for Humanity Restores in the United States so you can upgrade your kitchen with Made In and feel good knowing your old cookware will be given a new life or recycled.
How It Works
At checkout click "I want to recycle my old cookware" in the "Extras" section (or the "Order Summary" dropdown on mobile).
You will receive a return shipping label with your new cookware order.
Save your box! Place your old cookware in the box your new cookware came in. Please be sure to secure any sharp objects that could harm our warehouse team.
Securely seal the box and attach the return shipping label over the original shipping label.
Drop off at a FedEx location or schedule a FedEx pickup.
Your old cookware will be sent to one of our partnered Habitat for Humanity ReStores. Anything considered unsellable is then forwarded to a metal recycling to be melted down and reformed into usable raw material!
I forgot to select the recycle option at checkout! Is it too late?
It’s not! Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’re happy to see what we can do to get this added to your order!
What if my old cookware doesn’t fit in the box?
Unfortunately, we can only accept items that fit in the box that you receive your new cookware in. This is how we calculate the necessary costs for the return shipping label.
Is it free to recycle my old cookware?
There is a cost of $20 to cover the shipping and handling.
Are knives safe to put in the box?
They sure are! Please be sure to wrap the blade in cardboard/tape for safety.
Can I recycle more than one item?
Yes! Any and all cookware you can fit in your box can be recycled.
I never got my return shipping label, what do I do?
If you selected the recycle option at checkout and did not receive your shipping label, please email us at email@example.com so we can get a label sent to you. Don’t throw away your box in the meantime! You’ll need this to ship your old cookware back.
I accidentally threw away my box, what do I do?
No big deal! Because the prepaid shipping label was based off of the box we sent you, we ask that you use a box that is approximately the same size to avoid having to pay more shipping costs.
