Tinto de verano is a fizzy red wine cocktail which—as its name suggests—is enjoyed copiously in its native Spain, and almost exclusively during the summer. Commonly consumed at outdoor terrace bars and during festivals, it’s a light and fruity mixed drink that originated in Cordoba and quickly spread across the south. Note: If a 1:1 ratio of wine to soda is a bit too sweet for your taste, club soda can be swapped for some of the lemon-lime soda or added to top off the cocktail.
