# Italian Sparrow Cocktail Recipe - Made In

Tropical and spicy, this cocktail dresses up a spritz with pineapple rum and ginger syrup.  

Who says a spritz can’t also be sweet and a little bit spicy? Brian Sandhal of Heavy Muddle takes the classic Aperol spritz on vacation by way of the welcomed additions of pineapple rum, ginger syrup, and grapefruit juice. Similar to the Jungle Bird, a more straightforward tiki cocktail from the 70s, this drink combines Sandhal’s love of tropical and bittersweet flavors. Its name comes from the national bird of Italy. Serve in our White Wine Glass, tiny umbrella optional.
