We never imagined outfitting an entire luxury resort when we started Made In. But thatโ€™s exactly what happened when Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, turned to us for their culinary needs. This was our largest hotel installation to date, encompassing 12 restaurants, 90 residences, and 325 hotel rooms, taking up over 43 thousand square feet on 32 acres of property.

In total, Pier Sixty-Six ordered over 1,300 pieces of cookware, each chosen to bring their distinctive restaurant concepts to life. Hereโ€™s a behind-the-scenes look at how we made it happen.

The Fulfillment Process

Our largest hospitality order yet required meticulous planning from the start. We began at our fulfillment center in Selma, Texas, where our team worked tirelessly to ensure every piece of cookware was perfectly packed up.

Pier Sixty-Six ordered a little bit of everythingโ€”5-Ply Stainless Clad from Italy, ProCoat Non Stick from the U.S., and Carbon Steel from Sweden. We carefully packed up each piece, quadruple-checking before their final shipment. With an order of this size, there was no room for errorโ€”and a lot of pressure to get it exactly right. Every piece had to arrive in pristine condition, ready for the grand opening of a billion-dollar resort.

Once we had everything packed and secured, we loaded up the shipment and sent it off to Fort Lauderdale, where we would meet with the Pier Sixty-Six culinary team to ensure a seamless installation.

Coordinating With the Pier Sixty-Six Team

Once the cookware delivery arrived as planned, we met up with Rhett Boreing and Chef Jonathan Kaiser, Executive Director of Sales & Marketing and Executive Chef: Signature Dining of Pier Sixty-Six, respectively, who gave us a full tour of the in-progress build of the resort. Pier Sixty-Six has a deep historyโ€”it was once a go-to spot for Frank Sinatra and other icons, and its new renovation was designed to reclaim that legacy.

Walking through the newly designed restaurant spaces, we discussed how each concept would come to life and why Made In was the perfect fit for their kitchens. โ€œIt's being proven in Michelin-starred restaurants,โ€ one chef explained. โ€œIt's commercially durable.โ€

This was exactly why Pier Sixty-Six trusted us with their kitchens. From fine-dining dinners to fast-casual lunches, our cookware had to perform at the highest level, service after service.

Putting Our Cookware to the Test

When we returned to Pier Sixty-Six after its grand opening in February 2025, the energy was completely different. Construction was finished, and the restaurants were alive with movement. We met up with Director of Cuinary Chef Aldo Novoa for a tour of the soon-to-open concepts before reconnecting with Chef Kaiser, who was deep in prep for service at Calusso, one of the propertyโ€™s flagship restaurants.

More than anything, we wanted to see how our cookware held up after its first major test: a packed Valentineโ€™s Day weekend. The feedback was clear: โ€œPans kick ass. They get so hot,โ€ Chef told us. But the unexpected MVP of Calusoโ€™s kitchen? The sleeper hit Stainless Clad Butter Warmer. Chef Kaiser called it โ€œBy far the most versatile one, especially in this kind of cooking.โ€

A Milestone for Made In

Walking through Pier Sixty-Six, seeing our pans in action across multiple restaurants, was a surreal moment. This project marked a major milestone for Made In, not just in terms of scale but in reinforcing that our cookware is right at home in the best kitchens in the world.

From the precision required in the fulfillment stage to the coordination with the Pier Sixty-Six team, this was a massive undertaking. But seeing our cookware help shape the next chapter of this legendary resort made it all worth it.

If you find yourself in Fort Lauderdale, be sure to visit Pier Sixty-Six. Enjoy the incredible food, atmosphere, and history, and know that behind every dish is cookware built to perform at the highest level. Weโ€™ll see you there.
