Description
Santoku means “three virtues” in Japanese, though it’s unknown whether those virtues are “meat, fish, and vegetables,” “slicing, dicing, and chopping,” or “tip, edge, and heel.” Why can’t it be all of them? This knife is a multi-talented kitchen tool that fills a gap in any cutlery arsenal. Hand scalloped to reduce friction and stickage, crafted from premium nitrogen-treated X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, and fully forged just like our best-selling 8” Chef Knife, our Santoku Knife will bolster the virtuousness of your knife block.

  • Why This Knife?
When we say our knives are full tang and fully forged, we mean it. This means all Made In knives are made from one solid piece of stainless steel — from the tip through the hilt — and cut through anything. All that our competitors' knives cut? Corners. By welding together two pieces of metal rather than using one intact piece, our competition can cheaply produce a knife that looks full tang and fully forged but doesn't act or age like it.

You asked for it, we made it: The Santoku. Santoku knives aren’t meant to replace chef knives, but rather to complement them. Santokus are multi-purpose kitchen knives that excel at precision cuts and chopping due to their shorter length and flat cutting edge.

This was the sharpest out of the box knife I have ever had. Seriously, be careful. Nice feel in hand. Nice quality.

    Brain F.

Liked the first one I purchased so much that I bought a second.

    Byron

The weight is perfect, it can cut through anything, and I love that it came with a band aid.

    Sarah P.

I knew I loved this knife, but when my husband, who is a persnickety knife person, praised it, I knew it was great! It’s sharp and a good weight.

    Explore Made In

Transparency is one of our core values. We want you to know who Made In is and what we're all about so you can feel great about your purchase before, during, and long after.

    Artisan Crafted
We travel the world to search for and partner with the best cookware artisans — the men and women who have dedicated their lives to perfecting their craft. Our products don't all come from one big factory somewhere; each one is handcrafted by the specific people who know that product better than anyone.
    Chef Designed
We work with some of the world's best chefs and use their knowledge of cookware pain points and inadequacies to help inform our product design decisions. We'll keep going back to the drawing board until our chefs tell us we got it right.
    Attention Grabbing
Don't just take our word for it regarding our quality. We're proud to have received glowing reviews from a wide array of highly trusted publications such as Consumer Reports, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Chowhound, and Cook's Illustrated.
