It’s crafted in Italy from sustainably harvested Beechwood and handmade by a family with over 60 years of experience. Both sides of the Countertop Knife Block boast neodymium magnets—the strongest commercially available—that hold Knives securely to the block without damaging their blades. The bottom of the block features non-slip rubber feet for added stability.

I received knives for Christmas that are very nice Japanese steel.  I have a metal magnet holder but that would scratch the blades.  I looked at this holder before but this time I decided to get it for those nice blades.  I was worried it wouldn’t be sturdy on the counter top removing a knife. I will say the base is very sturdy and well done and it looks awesome. Did not know how to feel about it but once I slapped my knives on it I was surprisingly  very happy.  Glad I made that purchase.  Think it would be a good purchase for self or a gift for sure
