The Saucepan promises fluffy steamed rice, jammy boiled eggs, and sauces that refuse to break. The 5-ply construction also cleans up in seconds, because it prevents the hot spots that lead to stuck-on messes. ## FAQs

### What Is a Saucepan Used for in Cooking?

Stainless Steel Saucepans are typically used for whisking, gravies, risotto, boiling water, and other sauce-based dishes. Nonstick saucepans are good for rice and other dishes that might otherwise stick to your cookware.

### What Is a Saucepan vs. Skillet?

While both are stainless steel cookware, and are pots and pans, a Saucepan typically has straight edges that is great for use on the stovetop. A frying pan, or skillet, has low edges and is better for frying and high heat cooking. Both are essential to any cookware set.

### What Is a Saucepan?

Saucepans are among the most common styles of Cookware, used daily by home cooks and professional chefs alike. They’re immediately recognizable for their small circumference, tall and straight edges, long handle, and tight fitting lids. These lids can be glass lids or stainless steel lids, making them covered saucepans. Many saucepans do not have pour spouts, but sauciers do. Our Stainless Clad Saucepans are dishwasher safe.

### What Is the Difference between a Saucepan and a Pot?

The main difference between a Saucepan and a Stock Pot is that a Saucepan is much smaller. Be sure to look at construction as well. While our products are 5-ply, some are made from a lesser quality, compared to competitors like all-clad, calphalon premier, kitchenaid, le creuset, greenpan, and cuisinart, which make theirs from a lower quality tri-ply or multiclad construction.

## Customer Reviews

### ★★★★★ Excellent Cooking Ware.

I am in a transition to ditch coated cookingware in favor of stainless steel and cast-iron in oder to eat less PFAS (which might too late in my case but why not). So stainless steel was the first go to option for building up pasta sauces and toss the pasta into the sauce later. This works perfect. I also seared all kinds of meats, meatballs and veggies with great results. Highly recommended.

### ★★★★★ My perfect anniversary gift

My comfort place is in my home. Especially in my kitchen. My husband asked what I wanted for my anniversary gift and I said this pan. I had been looking at it for months and I knew I
wanted it. I read the blog post about sizing and decided on the three quart because I already had a two quart,
which I thought to be a bit smalll. This
pan is gorgeous. I immediately thought
of the meals I can and will be preparing
with this pan. It is just the two of us so a
small chicken or roast will fit perfectly.
Then just take the protein out and
deglaze make the gravy and all I used
was one pan. I can not wait to use it.
Addendum: I made an eye roast (2.1 lbs) in this pan using the Sunday Roast method from Allrecipe. I added chopped onions, one hunking clove of garlic and fresh thyme. Put the roast in a 375 degree oven and roasted for 12 minutes then turned the oven off. I took the roast out covered it and then made the most amazing gravy with the drippings. It was the best roast I have ever made with an eye roast because my memory of my mother cooking it was always tough and dry as shoe leather. I have also made sausage gravy for dinner one night and that pan did not fail me at all. The sausage browned faster and the gravy was spot on. Loving the curved edges. Nothing sticks! I love this pan!❤️❤️
Thank you made in. You have made my comfort zone even better.

### ★★★★★ SaucierTakingOver

i received the saucier yesterday & i was very pleased with the looks, the weight, the finishes but also the packaging - a very no-nonsense, well presented delivery in every respect. today i used it for the first time to make a "creamy lemon herb chicken" which succeeded fully. it was an easy, euphoric process (i cook on gas) & the result was both tasteful & presentable. i am happy with my new saucier which will probably become a standard in my kitchen for the (mostly) mediterranean dishes which i like to cook :-)

### ★★★★★ ★★★★★ Excellent saucier — worth it

I’m very happy with this stainless clad saucier. It heats evenly, feels solid and well made, and the curved sides make it perfect for sauces, reductions, and finishing pasta. It’s easy to control and clean, and it looks great too. Exactly the kind of quality cookware I wanted — 5/5.

### ★★★★★ Greate Saucier

When it arrived, it was a little bigger than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. I’ve cooked in it several times now and I’m very pleased with the performance—it’s extremely easy to keep food from sticking. It’s practically a skillet with high sides, making it super versatile.

### ★★★★★ Perfect starter set!

This three saucepan set is perfect to start off my new kitchen! I’m a big fan of investing in quality in the places that matter the most - for me that means a solid set of saucepans. These are such a pleasure to use - and I’m pretty sure they will continue to be for years to come.

— JohnN

### ★★★★★ If you thinking about buying it just do it.

It’s my new favourite pan.I do a daily communal meal for 12 guest & it might be my imagination but I feel my cooking just went up one notch! Everything glides around the pan with such ease.

### ★★★★★ The only brand I will cook with!!

I am a semi-professional chef though long since retired from volume kitchens, I still am a serious cook and can afford to use the best equipment. The Made In brand is my go to for all cookware. The Sauciers are especially fine. I have every size they offer in both of my home kitchens. I am satisfied that they are not only a better value than All Clad and other expensive brands but also better quality as well. I have cooked with them all and pick Made In for my personal kitchens. Once you cook with a Made In saucier, you will never grab for another pan unless all your sauciers are already on a burner!

### ★★★★★ Solid product

Great product. Solid. Maintains heat. Medium heat required

### ★★☆☆☆ First purchase, may be my last.

I really looked forward to getting my first Made In cookware set, unfortunately it has not gone smoothly. The first set arrived with a damaged saucier. I contacted Made In and they were quick to respond with a return label and new shipment. The second replacement shipment arrived with a damaged lid. I told customer service, the problem I saw was that their packaging for the shipments was not protective enough, thus why my shipments were arriving damaged. Again, they were quick to send out a replacement lid. I just received the replacement lid, and although it did arrive undamaged (with extra packing material around it), the lid fits EXTREMELY tight onto my saucier. You have to push it down with some force for it to sit correctly on the pan and it is very tight. At this point it is functional, so I'm not going to try to replace it again, it's getting ridiculous at this point. However this has really made me cautious about purchasing from Made In again. For such a high price point, you would expect the pans/lids to fit correctly and that they would package the items securly to arrive undamaged.

### ★★★★★ Surprise favorite pan…

If I didn’t already have a husband, I would probably marry this pan. It feels “intuitive”, always feels just right, cooks like a dream. I loved the 3 quart version and now I’m in love with the 5 quart. Highly recommend..

### ★★★★★ So happy I bit the bullet and bought this!

Amazing quality. I put a lot of research into this purchase as it was pricier than other sauciers in it's class. I'm obsessed with it. The quality is amazing, heats evenly. First day I used it I accidentally banged it into the side of my counter top, I was so worried I dented it but there wasn't even a scratch! No regrets on this one!

— Tiffany

### ★★★★★ Excellent quality with 2 yrs of use

I've had this set of 3 sauce pans for 2 yrs and LOVE them! Excellent quality. I especially love the saucier that I surprisingly use for many dinners. I've also bought one of the dutch ovens and 3 of the knives that I also love. These are all my basic cooking tools now. These pans have great weight to them, work well with both electric glass top stoves and induction. The handles stay cool. I think I'll buy some for my brother. I also want some more olive wood knives!

### ★★★★★ It is big!

### ★★★★★ Never have too many saucepans.

I bought one of these saucepans a while ago and later I discovered that one wasn't enough. I needed a second one. Now things run a lot smoother in the kitchen. This is a must have in anyone's kitchen.

— Tom

### ★★★★★ The star of my kitchen

### ★★★★★ Great Christmas Gifts

I bought 2 of these during the sale for Christmas presents for the kids. I'm sure they are going to be great, I am very happy with all my purchases from Made In! I have non stick, carbon and CeramiClad and love them all.

### ★★★★★ The perfect one

The perfect saucier. As an Italian pasta cook, I really enjoyed the Saucier performance, in heat management and diffusion throughout the cooking sorface, very easy to handle size and weight, fantastic look. It keeps sauces and humidity with food ingredients and it has the very best shape for "mantecatura". Price a bit expensive for European standards, but design, quality and performance are top.

— Roberto

### ★★★★★ Great for pasta

Really nice. I bought this to finish pasta and it has been excellent for that. Well designed and made, I’m happy.
