Our Soup Bowl is an 8" stoneware bowl made in England, sized for soups, salads, grains, cereal, and everything in between. ## Description Since the 1600s, the world’s best Plateware has come from Stoke-on-Trent, England, where the local clay and craftsmanship creates uniquely hard-wearing high alumina vitrified china. Prized for its beauty, longevity, and unrivaled chipping resistance, it’s historically been reserved for the hospitality industry—until now. We’re the first to bring this legacy Plateware to home cooks. Most Plateware is mechanically top glazed, leaving an unfinished “foot” that causes scratching when stacked. We suspend each piece on pins and fully glaze top and bottom for 360° scratch- and chip-resistance. The glazing also makes it oven safe to 580F, so delicate sauces won’t break due to the temperature shock of a cold plate. Discover Dinnerware that’s as beautiful on its thousandth meal as it is on its first. ## Dimensions - Total Height: 2.38" - Total Diameter: 8.13" - Capacity: 35 fl oz (4.375 cups) - Weight: 1.3 lbs ## Dimensions - Total Height: 6.0 cm - Total Diameter: 20.7 cm - Capacity: 1.04 L (4.375 cups) - Weight: 0.59 kg ## Care - Microwave, Freezer, & Dishwasher Safe - Dry with a lint free cloth ## Shipping, Warranty, and Returns - We offer easy shipping options for the US and EU. They are the perfect size for serving stews and hearty soups and quickly became our go-to bowl for use with a variety of dishes. The soup bowls are excellent for soup and other food entrees. I love to use them for my homemade spaghetti and meatballs. My entire kitchen is by Made In now. I know they will last a life time. Thank you Made In for such great products for home use… — Margie ### ★★★★★ Perfect size bowl This new addition was the missing piece to the whole plateware collections. Now it's complete. These bowls like the rest are silky smooth, a pleasure to hold in the hand, and the prefect size honestly. Soups, pasta, oatmeal etc . It's extremely versatile and my favorite piece. It's worth the cost and is elegant and practical. Nice weight too. Get it !! — Made-In fan ### ★★★★★ The Platonic Ideal of Soup Bowls I just got these. Size and shape perfect for soup and stews, small servings of pasta, large servings of breakfast cereal. I already have plates, small bowls and large bowls. Soup bowls are the perfect addition. I plan to order another set. — Pollyr ### ★★☆☆☆ Questionable chemicals These bowls are beautiful, however I am concerned about the chemicals that might be hiding in them. The side bowls and entree bowls have information about how they are made without lead, cadmium, and other harmful chemicals, however, there is nothing about that on the soup bowl page. I am guessing these are then made using some of those chemicals. If not, I would appreciate your same info on the soup bowl description. — Kpl88 ### ★★★★☆ Huge Received the soup bowls a few weeks ago. Bowls are very nice and well made. I like everything about them except they are a bit too large. They’re about the size of a medium sized mixing bowl. Still love em though. — Phil ### ★★★★★ — Mat ### ★★★★★ Wonderfully sized bowls I just love the size and proportions of these bowls. I can be really picky about bowl sizes – often the ones in dinnerware sets are too small or too shallow to be usable for a wide range of applications. Certainly these are lovely for soups, but also a nice size for rice or pasta dishes. Very versatile. — Ben ### ★★★★★ — MJP ### ★★★★★ Outstanding Bowls I’ve been waiting for these Soup Bowls for some time now and they were worth the wait. They are the perfect size and a great addition to our Made In Tabletop set. I highly recommend these bowls. — Anonymous ### ★★★★★ Perfect size soup bowls I first ordered four soup bowls from Made In and loved them so much, I then ordered four more. I already have two sets of Made In dishes (dinner plates, side bowls, entree bowls, and appetizer plates). My sets were only missing the soup bowls. The soup bowls are a perfect size to complete my collection. I have many of Made In's products and I have been more than satisfied with all my purchases through the years. All products are of high quality and also beautifully made. I highly recommend my current purchase, the soup bowls, as well as all of Made In's products. — Deb CS ### ★★★★★ Great soup bowls! I ordered these as my birthday gift to myself from my husband. I was originally going to get 4 bowls to see if I liked the size but ended up ordering 8 bowls instead. I’m so glad I did, I just love them, they compliment my entree and side bowls. I will probably end up buying 4 more to make an even dozen. These are a must have for any kitchen. — Laurette ### ★★★★★ — K B ### ★★★★☆ — Dan ### ★★★★★ — Dittie ### ★★★★★ Quality you can feel Quality dinnerware that never disappoints.
