## Description

Since the 1600s, the world’s best Plateware has come from Stoke-on-Trent, England, where the local clay and craftsmanship creates uniquely hard-wearing high alumina vitrified china. Prized for its beauty, longevity, and unrivaled chipping resistance, it’s historically been reserved for the hospitality industry—until now.

We’re the first to bring this legacy Plateware to home cooks. Most Plateware is mechanically top glazed, leaving an unfinished “foot” that causes scratching when stacked. We suspend each piece on pins and fully glaze top and bottom for 360° scratch- and chip-resistance. The glazing also makes it oven safe to 580F, so delicate sauces won’t break due to the temperature shock of a cold plate.

Discover Dinnerware that’s as beautiful on its thousandth meal as it is on its first.

### ★★★★★ Finally pulled the trigger

I have been eying these for a while and am sorry I waited until the red rim was deleted. I was hoping to match the entree bowls but alas no go.

These are the perfect size, weight and look I wanted.

Don't wait, get 'em!

— Bob Thomas

### ★★★★★ Great everyday small bites bowls and plates!

### ★★★★★ Luxurious bowls. Never thought I’d ever say that.

These are awesome bowls - perfect size for everything! These bowls are HEAVY. The moment you grab one, you will notice that these are not your mom’s Linen & Things clearance rack bowls. These are luxury. These are made to last.

— KJWPro

### ★★★★★ top notch construction

great quality bowls. wish they were a little bigger

— scott

### ★★★★★ The best!

This entire line of dinnerware is the best! It's simple and the shapes are graceful and easy to use. Color is perfect and I only wish I were a little younger and needed to buy the entire line. The shape of the bowls is so much better than any others I have. Thank you for your great attention to detail.

— Nancy

### ★★★★★ Perfect size for sides

Glad I got these to match my entree bowls and plates

### ★☆☆☆☆ Versatile Medium Bowl

My perception of this small bowl was incorrect. They came with the set. They appear diminutive on the website but actually hold almost as much as a rounded soup bowl while being perfect for a small dessert given the deep sloping shape. A happy surprise.

### ★★★★★ attention to detail

I like the few things Ive bought here so much that I am writing a review so I can get something else with a discount . The small bowls I bought have a lovely shape, are perfectly formed and the glazed . I also bought a wok that is as nice as any I have seen .The handle has a wonderful shape, is attached with care , and works well in the hand .

— Katelyn

### ★★★★★ Quality as advertised

Quality is as advertised. I like the shape and portion size.

### ★★★★★ Beautiful Side Bowls!

Bowls are beautiful and sturdy, at first glance you may think they are a bit small, but they are actually a very healthy portion size for adults.

— Rob

### ★★★★★ Good size and feels good in the hands

Some reviewers have complained about the size. I have both the entree bowls and these smaller bowls. Between the two, I've been able to meet all my needs. These bowls are the perfect size for morning parfaits and for a soup appetizer. But I'd say a bit small if you're hoping to use it for your morning cereal.

— Ken

### ★★☆☆☆

They seem durable. The glaze on the inside is fine. The glaze on the bottom of some and the outside sides of each bowl (we bought four) have round glaze blemishes (2 +) on each where maybe a machine held them?. I am the family dishwasher so they bother me and I was disappointed. The other two members of my family seemed fine with them.

### ★★★★★

One was broken when I opened the box but the others are great. I like how they stack!

### ★★★★★

I am in the porcelain flooring business and know exceptional quality when I see it, and use it. Quite honestly, incredible quality

### ★★★★★

Great product. I like the finish, of course. And the the overall weight and feel. Not too big. So maybe not for a teenagers helping of cereal but great for single serve of oatmeal or fresh fruit. I’ve used them for soup, too.

— Anita P.

### ★★★★☆

Don't love the imperfections in the glaze, doesn't affect usability however. Nice bowls

— CURTIS C.

### ★★★★★

Great quality as with all things from M-I... I had some old Italian porcelain that was starting to craze and the bowls started to overheat in the microwave... These new M-I bowls are very hard and durable and don't overheat... The dimensions are perfect for pasta or anything else.

— James M.

### ★★★★★

These entree bowls are beautiful! I love the look and how they feel in your hands. Meals are very inviting!

THESE DO NOT LOOK BLUE. In person they look black compared to the blue rimmed plates. Even though you can clearly see the blue in the picture, customer service has continually assured me that the blue bowls simply look black…. So if you want your stuff to match, I guess so with the white bowls

— Logan

### ★★★★★

Make your food shine in a classic styled bowl. Plates and large bowls are very nice also.

### ★★★★★

Very impressed and pleased with the quality and aesthetics of the Tabletop Set in Navy Rim. Serious Eats recommended and now so do I.

Order took well over two weeks to receive it was lost in shipping. Numerous emails were sent to made in. None of them were answered poor customer service after sitting on hold for 20 minutes. I finally spoke to someone. All I could hear was their dog barking in the background.

### ★☆☆☆☆ Arrived scratched/chipped, return was a battle

My first (and last) experience with Made In has been abysmal. I received my $1685+ order in two huge over-packed, very heavy boxes that were busted open and falling apart, woefully insufficient for the weight. Although the individual boxes inside that contained the dishes were undamaged and secure, many of the plates/entree bowls were chipped, significantly scratched and marred. It looked liked blemishes had been sanded off. These were not the glazing "pin marks," these were sanded down areas all the way through the glaze exposing the porcelain. Their big selling point about durablity and being used in thousands of restaurants all over the world proved inaccurate. They didn't survive the wherehouse!
At this price point, I do not have time to coddle my dinnerware.

Returning has been a nightmare, there is a restock fee, they waived it. But, initially they refused to pick up two huge boxes. I explained my disability prevented me from taking them to UPS myself. They asked if I would "repackage everything in smaller boxes for easier pick up, because UPS won't pick them up." Are you kidding me, I don't have shipping boxes lying around. Besides, they arrived FedEx, they should go back FedEx. I told the representative I was not paying for return shipping as this was Made In's error, she agreed. After days of back and forth, they finally arranged for UPS pick up.
If this were a personal preference/changed my mind return issue, I'd make arrangements for help to drive them to the UPS store and pay for return shipping, but that's not what we're dealing with here. Made In sent me dozens of significantly scratched and chipped plates/entree bowls that never should have left the wherehouse. Fix your mistake without a squabble or negotiation, Made In. After over a week my refund was given in two parts and $76 short for original shipping! Healthy companies don't nickle and dime when they make a big mistake, they own it and work to preserve their reputation.
If you're considering Made In, don't fall for the hype, you'll be underwhelmed and hassled. It's over-priced, under delivered, looks and feels cheap, Customer Service is awful.

— Cammie C.

### ★☆☆☆☆ Disappointing Communication

I tried to talk about the order of the dishes I ordered and they never spoke to me on the phone, they sent me an email that made no sense

— Alex R.

### ★☆☆☆☆ Disappointed for 1st time

First wanted to say the products from Made in are normally amazing but recently received these bowls with a defect from the factory and reached out to customer support but no one has replied to help me get this resolved. So, for this purchase it has been a big disappointment

— Jordan B

### ★★★★★ I neglected to say in my earlier review, I do all the cooking and baking, the bread photos were the bread I personally bake. It’s a pleasure to showcase my work on these wonderfully crafted and simple elegant dishes.

It’s a Luxury serving and eating off these plates. I love the feel, weight of the plate and how these easily stack. I can’t wait to use them more. I still have my set packed in their box, I need to give them their own special space so I can always adore them and get to them easily .

— Allan K.

### ★★★★★ Gorgeous

The fully glazed dinner bowls are perfect. The glaze covers the entire bowl including the foot so that they are both chip resistant and won't scratch each other when you stack them. Truly beautiful pieces and generously sized.

### ★☆☆☆☆

i bought Made in dinner plates, salad plates and dinner bowls each 8pcs. Two hours after i placed an order i changed my mind so i asked for cancellation. no succes finally product was delivered to me via FedEx and i did not even opened the box because i want to make a return. i communicated to Made in return web side which they have it on my order. i sent several emails and called customer service several times and zero response. i am very disappointed with Made in customer service. still waiting for their response so they can send me shipping label for return.i keep checking my email and spam folder every day but nothing. such a lousy service! would not reccomend to buy product from Made in even though quality of the product might be good but if they do not put customer first then what good is that?
