### ★★★★★ Perfect for Tamales

Perfect size! I was so excited when I got this pan and insert, it is the perfect size for making tamales, asparagus, pasta, seafood boil!

— Laura

### ★★★★★ Solid made

Constructed very well. Does it's job. Fits inside 8Q stockpot with silicone insert.

— Jon

### ★★★★★ Finally, a Better Way to Make Pasta

I wasn't sure a pasta insert would make much of a difference, but now I don't want to cook pasta without it. Lifting the insert instead of carrying a pot of boiling water to the sink is one of those small upgrades that makes you wonder why you waited so long.

It's sturdy, fits perfectly, drains quickly, and makes cleanup easier too. It feels just as well made as everything else from Made In.

Five stars. My colander is officially on the bench.

— Greenwater Poolpainters

### ★★★★★ Great item!

I missed having a pasta insert. Love this product. It's not very heavy and has plenty of holes for drainage and for cooking pasta.

— Penelope Q.

### ★★★★★ Pasta strainer for 6 or 8 qt stock pot

Love this piece, however, even though it fits a 6qt I’d recommend using it with the 8 because using the 6qt lid with this is downright awkward. It fits way below the lip of the strainer.

— Emily

### ★★★★★ Simplistic and Awesome

Great tool for pasta prep - no more boiling water through a colander. Does not impede and cooking time or function. A+!

— JP

### ★★★★★ Pasta Insert

I used the pasta several times over the holidays. What a wonderful device!

— Pam S

### ★★★★☆ A must have

A must have for anyone who loves to cook pasta. I’ve been wanting this for quite some time andI most say, I am not disappointed.

— Sherri

### ★★★★★ Helpful and useful

Helps to make whatever your boiling easier to handle

### ★★★★★ Perfect addition to the set

Great size for two or the family. Perfect for the nights folks straggle in. I can cook pasta for a couple people and have heated water for the next batch. Also great for my wonton soup.

— RandiK

### ★★★★★ Great addition to my Made In pots and pans set

What can I say, it's a pasta strainer and colander. Fits perfectly in my 8-quart Made In stock pot. The real value is in the starchy pasta water left behind when straining the noodles. Instead of pouring it down the sink like with a traditional colander, that liquid gold can be retained to add to your pasta sauce, turning it velvety, and creating a cohesive sauce by emulsifying fats, binding ingredients, and preventing separation.

— Eric P.

### ★★★★★ Kitchen sidekick!

Works great for more then just pasta! Blanching veggies...

— Carl H

### ★★★★★ The perfect pasta insert

This is an amazing pasta insert for meal prepping. Fits an absurd amount of pasta and made of solid long lasting construction. Would recommend it to anyone!

— Samir

### ★★★★★ Makes Straining Easy

I wasn't sure if I would need/want this but I'm so glad I ordered it. Our garden is producing tons of beans right now and blanching them was so much easier this year using this insert!

— Jeff

### ★★★★★ Well made, perfect match for the stock pot

Heavy duty insert, fits the stock pot perfectly, and can accommodate a couple different lid sizes depending on what's avail / not being used on another pot or pan.

— John

### ★★★★★ Love my MadeIn

I’m in what they call our senior years. I was in the restaurant business for a long time when I was younger. And so I think I know a good pot when I see it. And I have to say Made In cookware is some of the best I’ve ever seen.
From design to function to durability to beauty, it’s pretty hard to beat these pans.

### ★★☆☆☆

Dont buy this if you plan on cooking more than one serving of pasta! I am here today looking to see if my very nice birthday gift was sent with the incorrect pasta insert (i got 8 quart stock pot with lid) I use the pot all the time but have had zero success with the insert. It turns 8 quarts of water into 1. If I fill the pot more, it bubbles all over the stove. I tried it in a 5 quart pot thinking it would go deeper into the pot but nope. It is too expensive to use as a colander. Maybe it is an ok steamer basket. Save your funds and get one of the other wonderful pots.
I never see this one on social media. I think i know why now

— Chris S

### ★★★★☆

The insert is very convenient and looks great in the set. Could also use when boiling vegetables and other things.

— Paul M.

### ★☆☆☆☆ Pasta insert doesn’t fit

I have an 8 quart stock pot I bought several years ago from you that I love. This insert does NOT fit my pot - it is too big. I contacted customer service and the response was weak - no explanation for the size change. Disappointing as I have loved your products in the past.

— Carrie G.

### ★★★★★ Great Addition to My Set

Great addition to my set! And the strainer fits in both of my stock pots: 8 quarts and 6 quarts, which isn’t sold any longer. I only wish it wasn’t too tall for my storage drawers but I’ll make do.

— Laura J.

### ★★☆☆☆ Pasta insert is almost great!

It is beautifully made, but unfortunately does not fit my older 8quart stock pot. I purchased it separately the moment it was available as I had been waiting for just such an accessory. It arrived and I was excited to use, but it doesn’t properly fit the pot. In all fairness to Made In they offered me a discount as well as a limited time coupon for 20% off. They were responsive and sympathetic to my disappointment, although I would have much preferred bring offered a trade in of my older pot for the newer pot to fit the insert

— Michael R.

### ★★★★☆ Pasta Insert

Well made--works well. The missing 5th star is due to the top ring (the part of the insert that sticks out above the pot) is too tall. It could be much shorter, then the pot/insert would store in shorter cabinets, the material costs would be less (and hopefully the price), it would weigh less, and you would give up nothing in rigidity. When is use, you would have to offset the handles of the insert and the pot to pick up the insert by itself, but I do that anyway.

— James R.

### ★☆☆☆☆ Pasta Insert

Not really what I expected. I've had pasta inserts in the past from other brands, with metal that was just as thick/sturdy as the pot. This is surprisingly very thin and lightweight. Also, the color of the stainless is very different than the pots/pans, so it doesn't match the other pans hanging from the rack. Instead of an elegant heavyweight stainless piece, this pasta insert feels/looks like a cheap, lightweight, aluminum piece. Other than the fact that it fits in the stock-pot, and has holes in it, there is nothing great about this product. A pasta insert is a handy gadget to have, but this one feels like a cheap $19 item, rather than a quality $89 piece. I am a big Made-In fan, but this one is a HUGE let-down. Save your money - I sure wish I had. Overall, this is a major fail on the part of Made-In.

— Gabe S.

### ★★☆☆☆ Not 5 ply

It says and sold as 5 ply stainless clad?? It is only a simple stainless steel layer with rolled back rim. Why ?It's just a simple coolander. Expensive as well for what it is.

— MRAG

### ★☆☆☆☆ I did not like it

I did not like it

### ★★★☆☆ Swing and miss (for Induction)

With this pasta insert in the pot and our largest induction eye on the highest setting, water will NOT boil inside the insert. This is not a function of elevation (~1,100' ASL) or water quality (filtered). It's just the raw physics of induction and the fact that the sides of the pot cannot be heated, which is a clear advantage of a gas range. Just be aware of this drawback. We can certainly use this insert for other things (the steamer insert works fine, BTW), but for pasta it is a non-starter and money not so well spent.

— JohnO

### ★★★★★ Great addition to the set

Got this as an addition for my husband and he loves it!

— Esther

### ★☆☆☆☆ Keep changing delivery date, shady

Still not arrived. Order almost 3 weeks ago and all I know is it’s delayed. Every time I check it delayed and there’s no reason for that. The weather is fine first it was going to be shipped through Amazon and then they changed it to USPS I would rethink ordering from this company. They seem a little shady.

### ★★★☆☆ Only useful if you make small amounts of pasta

It’s very nice concept, but there are two problems. First, you can’t fill the pot very much because water spills over the edges (between the pot and the insert). So where I would normally make 2-3 boxes of pasta with the large 8qt pot, I can only make 1 box with the pasta insert. Second, when you pull out the pasta it’s awkward because I normally empty the pasta into a strainer then put it back into the same pot to mix it with the sauce. With this pasta insert you have to put the pasta aside, then empty the water from the pot then pour the pasta back into the pot. It’s actually an extra step.
