I bought this kettle for the unique train whistle sound. I have not had issues with Made In products, but in this case, the boiling whistle did not work. I exchanged another and the second one whistled once, but not longer. For these reasons I'm giving three stars. — PMorales ### ★★★☆☆ Too Thin with Rattling Sound I love most things from MadeIn, but this kettle was a miss. There was a loud rattling sound in the bottom that they said was the whistle, but I’m convinced there was a loose part in the bottom. The steel was thinner than I expected. The finish fo the green color was a rough texture which I didn’t like the feel of, but also would have collected grime more easily. I think my unit was defective and I’m returning. Regardless, I was looking for something with a heavier feel. I thought it would be more like the clad steel of my pans. I’m happy with all my other items from Made In, but this one just didn’t work out sadly. — Little Miss Sunshine ### ★★☆☆☆ Did not work I tried to love this kettle but after being sent the same kettle twice....like they just slapped the sticker back on the original defective one with the same scratch on the side...I returned it for a refund instead. The water flow was awful (there was none), the ball would stick and create a suction and yoinhad to shake it to get it to release which isn't ideal when dealing with hot water. There was no whistle to it either...none at all...so perhaps it was the green kettle? But it didn't work out for me. Love the fact that it is smaller scale to sit on the stove and the whistle reminds me of a train whistle. Does not have a big "belly". Over first kettle did not pour right. Sometimes it was right, sometimes it was not. We tried everything for about a week. Finally came to the consensus that there was something wrong with the pouring mechanism. Contacted Made In and sent them a video. They were quick to reply and wonderful to deal with.
