Did not receive it for a few days so have not used it very long. I notice today, August 1, 2026, there is a split in the part by the rivet that attaches the handle to the kettle. Very disappointed! The water flow was awful (there was none), the ball would stick and create a suction and yoinhad to shake it to get it to release which isn't ideal when dealing with hot water. There was no whistle to it either...none at all...so perhaps it was the green kettle? But it didn't work out for me. I was very happy with several Made In pots I purchased recently and when I saw this kettle, I decided to go ahead and get it. I liked its sleek look and it got many good reviews. The kettle showed up promptly and I was so excited to make my 1st cup of coffee with it. I like that there’s a built-in thermometer in the lid of the kettle but when the water set to boil, I didn’t hear a whistle which I thought was a bit unusual since several reviews had commented on the pitch of the whistle. When I went to pour the water over the coffee grounds, the water just came out of the spout with a trickle. I tried repositioning the kettle several times over the coffee grounds, but the water just would not flow out nicely. I contacted customer service and heard back from a representative who agreed it sounded as if there was something defective in the spout. She offered a refund or she could send a new kettle, but I had already purchased another kettle locally as I had guests over the holiday and I needed a kettle. This kettle was fine at heating - no better or worse than any other stovetop kettle I've used. But sweet cripes, the darn thing doesn't pour. Seriously, this thing should be discontinued immediately. At no point was I able to get more than a trickle out. The longer I poured, the less that came out. Increasing the tip-over did nothing. The issue is the little ball that makes the whistle sound - it jams in the spout. Slamming the kettle down didn't help - only sticking a knife in through the slots dislodged the ball enough to make this thing pour. Even in a $20 kettle, this would be intolerable. They designed this kettle to have a whistle integrated into the spout. The whistle does not reliably move out of the way, leading to the spout being blocked and water coming out out the lid instead. Made In replaced the kettle but the replacement did the same thing. The product was returned, but their customer service is also non-responsive to emails.
