## Description

Some knives try to do everything. This one owns the vegetable station. The Kamagata pairs the flat edge of a Nakiri with a pointed tip traditional vegetable knives don't have, so piles of herbs, even dice, paper-thin slices, and fine tip work all happen with one knife instead of two.

The flat edge lands flush on the cutting board, built for push cuts and straight-down chopping rather than rocking. That full contact is where the control comes from: scallions that don't bruise, radish coins you can read through, cores and ribs handled point-first. The blade is 67 layers of Damascus steel with a VG-10 core, holding its 15 degree edge at 58+ HRC through prep-heavy weeks.

The Kamagata is forged in Seki City, Japan, where blades have been made for 800 years. Every wave pattern is unique to its blade, and this run pairs a Green Pakkawood handle and mosaic pin with a fitted magnolia saya in the box. Limited to 500 pieces with no reorder. Hand wash, dry immediately, and store in the saya.

### ★★★★★ Quality

What a great functional, comfortable piece of equipment to have in the kitchen.

### ★★★★☆ A+++ but don’t buy the knives

Good stuff no doubt.!! Love my 3qt saucier pan/pot but the knives… meh… dried out handle with rivets sticking out for $300 bucks…🤦‍♂️ I bought a set of Shun Classics with the Japanese D shape handles and the quality is mind blowing for the price. Stick to the pots and pans in my opinion by Made In can’t go wrong. Good customer service.

### ★★★★★ Fun, sharp and comfy knife!

Starting out with Japanese knives and am by no means a seasoned cook, but this is a great little knife! Was sharp and fun to use on my veggies. Appreciate that the handle isn’t curved - it’s super comfortable for my hand. Sometimes the curved handles don’t quite hit right for me. And it’s absolutely beautiful. Very happy with the purchase.

### ★★★★★ Extraordinary Kamagata Knife to Behold!

This Damascus Steel Kamagata is an extraordinary knife: the sharpest and hardest edge able to slice through any vegetable, every season of the year. It is also masterful work of art to behold. (And hold!) So very happy with this purchase and all I am able to accomplish, swiftly and safely!

— Deb

### ★★★★★ Another fantastic addition to my collection

Gorgeous knife, super sharp, feels balanced and economically sound. Great addition to my growing collection of Made In knives. I do wish it was numbered as it was such a linuted release. People who like to collect appreciate those sorts of details.

### ★★★★★ No better cookware

I can't say enough good things about made in . The cookware is amazing. Love the saute pan. Their products are well worth the money. Trust me you won't be disappointed. Just received the beautiful knife. It was not only beautiful but one of the best knives I own.

### ★★★★★ New favorite knife

Having been blown away by the quality of the filleting knife I decided that another small prep knife might be helpful for my girlfriend and I. Years ago I purchased a Japanese Bunka and small prep knife which we’ve been happy with and liking how tall our Bunka blade is we thought this knife would be more useful with vegetable prep. The knife came very sharp and glides through nearly everything. Carrots and potatoes have become a breeze and smashing garlic is very effective. It’s slices thinner than any blade I own which was a claim by Made In that made me question being a 50/50 bevel. I wasn’t planning to purchase the Gyuto from Made In but my hesitation to buy a 50/50 beveled knife that can cut this well has evaporated. Everything I’ve purchased from this company has been absolutely satisfying.

### ★★★★★ Beautiful and Incredibly Sharp

The Made In Damascus Steel Kamagata is incredibly sharp and far more effective at slicing and chopping vegetables than I expected (and my expectations were pretty high). It seems a shame to hide that stunning Damascus steel blade in a wooden sheath, but then I don't have to worry about damage to the blade while stored in the sheath.

### ★★★★★ Treated myself

Absolutely beautiful - makes me feel like a professional chef

— Nancy S

### ★★★★★ Excellent knife

I would not say that my knife skills are advanced but I feel like this knife makes me better. The handle is not only beautiful but makes it way to hold and use the knife. I have been using it daily now and have a hard time switching to my other knives. Great for slicing and dicing vegetables with ease. And it s a knife that will last forever and can be passed down. I highly recommend it!

### ★★★★★ The Kamagata Knife is an amazing addition

What a beautiful knife. It is probably the most perfect knife for veggies ever invented. It feels so good to hold and it didn't hurt that it came with its own casing. I am in love.

### ★★★★★ Damascus Steel with Roots in India

So far I am thoroughly impressed with the quality, balance and appearance of my new Kamagata!

— Pedro Picapiedra

### ★★★★★ Love the Damascus Steel.

Not only is this a great knife it is a gorgeous knife. I purchased the first one and loved it so much I had to get the new one with the green handle. Gave the original purchase to my son who loves them too. Very happy . If you didn't get this one you missed out.

— Vicki E

### ★★★★★ Great knife!

This knife is comfortable to hold and use. I can quickly cut basil, mint, etc perfectly without ruining the leaves. The knife itself is very pretty with the green handle.
