What Is the Griddle made out of?

The Griddle is made of a 2mm thick Swedish Carbon Steel. The entire Griddle System is made from premium raw materials from Sweden. The grill press, stand, and lid are all made from premium Stainless Steel.

Is the Griddle Non Stick and Safe to Heat Up?

The Griddle comes preseasoned, which means we add 3 layers of oil-based seasoning to the griddle to begin its seasoning journey. With proper care, the more you use the Griddle, the more non-stick it will become. This is very similar to cast iron seasoning if you are familiar with that process.

Why did you choose Carbon Steel over Cast Iron?

Carbon Steel is the best material for Griddle. It has all the best qualities of cast iron, such as heat retention and seasoning properties, however it is about half the weight. It is also indestructible and heats up much quicker. Since we wanted to develop a modular, portable Griddle system, we believe that Carbon Steel is the perfect choice for the Griddle.
