I also have several Griswold cast iron pieces that I have collected over the years from antique stores. I love my Griswold and cook on it nearly exclusively, however, I wanted a Dutch Oven that did not react to tomato sauces or other acid foods. That is why we purchased this product. The primary issue is the interior enamel finish. There is a noticeable patch of rough enamel with micro-bubbles, which detracts from the otherwise premium feel and raises concerns about long-term durability and ease of cleaning. Given Made In’s reputation for quality, this was surprising. The lid fits adequately, but it does not seal as tightly as comparable Dutch ovens from competing brands. While functional, it doesn’t feel as refined or secure as expected at this price point. That said, I remain a big fan of Made In cookware and have had excellent experiences with their other products.
