I’ve been using Teflon pans and cast iron pans for my whole life. I’ve always wanted a stainless steel pan. It took me forever to season my cast iron pan to get it to the point where it’s smooth and nonstick. I’ve always been scared of stainless steal though because of how ugly some of the pans have looked in YouTube videos or restaurants. Really though it’s just because people don’t use barkeepers friend. Maybe I’m wrong here, but I’ve just been using barkeepers friend every time I wash them and they come out of the sink looking brand new. It’s like 25% more scrubbing effort for 5-10 seconds but it’s well worth the effort for the cooking performance and the quality of food that you can make with these. It’s also made me a better cook. I pay better attention to heating up my pan, when to turn food, and for the first time ever I’ve been making sauces. I justify the price because these are buy it for life items. But, they’ve been disappointing to say the least. First, I would hardly call them nonstick. I have to scrub them hard, often with barkeepers friend, to get them clean . Particularly with the small pan. And, the rims of them have tarnished and look terrible. I inquired about a credit and was offered a replacement of the same pans, which is counterintuitive as I assume the exact same thing will happen again. My advice is to pass. They’re pretty out of the box, but not after a few uses. And the nonstick isn’t great.
