## Description

The Griddle Set, comprised of the Carbon Steel Griddle and the Stainless Steel press is designed to maximize the direct heat contact between your ingredients and the cooking surface, which in turn maximizes crisping and caramelizing. As a result, everything from grilled cheese to blackened snapper tastes richer, more savory, and more complex. The optional Italian leather handle covers provide comfort while carrying the Griddle or using the Grill Press. Preheat the Grill Press on the Griddle for best results.

Our Carbon Steel Griddle comes pre-seasoned with a mixture of basso oil, coconut oil, and sunflower oil to bring the best parts of a restaurant cooktop to your home on day one. It is half the weight of cast iron but every bit as durable— so it heats evenly, responds quicker, and is light enough to travel from your stove to grill. The carbon steel griddle does not disappoint. Our first cook was bacon and eggs and the griddle performed amazingly well. Even heat across the griddle and the eggs, cooked over easy, did not stick at all. Clean up was easy with just hot water.

I wanted to put this through the paces before I drafted a review.  Had this for about six months and it went from something I thought I would use occasionally to something I am using 3-5 times a week.  Liked it so much I picked up the half griddle also.  Works absolutely perfect on my grill for salmon and vegetables which is my go-to dish.  Very even heating, great sear.  Have cooked chicken, several types of fish, bacon and vegetables and I love this griddle.  Also works great on my small RV grill.  I could go on about how well this works for me but at the end of the day.....just buy it...you won't regret it, but make sure you pick up the griddle lid, very handy.

It performs well after a few uses. Inevitably, food starts to stick to the surface despite cleaning and seasoning. I've even re-seasoned in the oven a few times. No use. There are better stove top and grill top griddles out there. I highly doubt that the likes of Tom and Brooke would endorse this product. Fairly confident that they have a throughly superior and dependable griddle at home.
