## Description

Our Carbon Steel combines the heat retention of cast iron with the control and maneuverability of Stainless Clad, resulting in a natural non stick alternative. To craft the Wok, Swedish artisans stamp Carbon Steel into a thin disc that’s half the weight of cast iron but every bit as durable. It seasons faster, responds quicker, and is light enough for tossing.

This means you can achieve wok hei, a signature smoky flavor that’s essential to Chinese wok cooking, and use less oil for healthy weeknight stir-fry.

Instead of a traditional rounded base, the Wok has a flat bottom perfected for home stoves including induction, gas and electric. This wok is fantastic for use on a sealed electric stovetop. I have another flat bottomed hammered carbon steel wok that I’ve been seasoning for awhile and still have issues with seasoning. This wok releases food as well as my outdoor burner one and comes clean with minimal effort. My only wish is that it had a helper handle for when I’m velveting and need to dump the water. Highly recommend!!

I bought this for my daughter (who had lent out her wok and never saw it again). She likes the steel surface, which is like her French steel skillet. This wok gets a nice sear, browned surface, or glaze, according to whatever recipe you use. Nonstick pans don’t do that. And this pan doesn’t stick! I think the price is fair, given its heavy use ( almost daily), and it should last forever. The long handle is a good safety feature. Overall, it’s an excellent product and I will certainly buy it again (wedding season is around the corner).
