Pre-seasoned with a mixture of shea nut oil and coconut oil, we’ve taken care of the first two seasonings (the hardest ones) so you can experience the difference Carbon Steel makes on day one. Our Carbon Steel combines the heat retention of cast iron with the control and maneuverability of Stainless Clad, resulting in a natural non stick alternative.

We stamp Carbon Steel into a thin disc that’s half the weight of cast iron but every bit as durable—so it seasons faster, responds quicker, and is rugged enough for your grill or open flame.

With sloping walls and a wide surface, this pan provides maximum heat contact for high-heat searing. This is my favorite pan, hands down!
I've had so many pans that claim to be non-stick, this one is 100% legit non-stick. 
I use it for everything, and just marvel how I can fry eggs or whatever and everything comes out so easily and cleanup is a breeze.
I love it so much I just bought the 10 inch.

### ★☆☆☆☆ Looks great, performs inconsistently - returning

I wanted to love these carbon steel pans. The idea of a lighter weight, carbon steel pan which comes pre seasoned and with time it would be close to a natural nonstick that lasts forever sold it to us, and it looks beautiful in the kitchen.
But in practice it's been disappointing:
Seasoning: we followed all instructions to the tee, seasoning in the oven/oiling/no water cleaning only wipe and salt for residue/no high temp etc. Food still stuck badly for most uses, especially eggs and fish. works best for steaks or high fat content meat.
Heat distribution: Hot spots are a real issue. Center burns while edges stay cool, so even cooking is tricky - you'll have an egg which is uncooked to one side and overcooked in the middle. only really works with a lot of fat in the pan and I mean A LOT. if deep fried eggs is your thing then this is the pan for you.
Maintenance: After 2-3 weeks on medium heat apart from higher when searing steaks, the pre seasoning disappeared more or less week 1 we even re-seasoned and followed instructions on how to maintain. For the price, I expected less babysitting.
Maybe we got a dud batch, or maybe this type of carbon steel just needs more skill than we have. Either way, it's not working for daily cooking. Customer service approved the return quickly though, so that part was smooth.
If you're experienced with carbon steel and have a lot of times on your hands and don't mind the learning curve, it might work for you. For me, I'm going back to stainless, cast iron + a good non psa coated non-stick for now.

Definitely NOT non stick, really disappointed with this product, followed all the instructions, seasoned it, used correct temperature, flicked water on it til it scooted around the pan like it’s supposed to and eggs and most everything else stuck to the pans bottom and really difficult to clean - waste of money

Coating didn’t last at all. One wash and it started flaking off. Second wash it was all gone.
