## Description

Pre-seasoned with a mixture of shea nut oil and coconut oil, we’ve taken care of the first two seasonings (the hardest ones) so you can experience the difference Carbon Steel makes on day one. Our Carbon Steel combines the heat retention of cast iron with the control and maneuverability of Stainless Clad, resulting in a natural non stick alternative.

We stamp Carbon Steel into a thin disc that’s half the weight of cast iron but every bit as durable—so it seasons faster, responds quicker, and is rugged enough for your grill or open flame.

With sloping walls and a wide surface, this pan provides maximum heat contact for high-heat searing. See how this chef-loved pan will replace cast iron as your favorite kitchen heirloom.

### ★★★★★ Amazing

I received my 10" carbon steel fry pan a few weeks ago. This was my first Made In purchase after months of research. The packaging was superior, something expected with a high quality pan. This was a factory second pan purchased during a limited sale so I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was boxed. I wasn't sure if my pan came seasoned or not, nothing indicated it was, so I watched a few Made In videos to properly prepare it for cooking. It did smoke a bit at first but after a few seasonings it's amazing. The surface quickly sears protein & sautés like nothing I've used before. The weight is somewhere between a stainless steel & cast iron just as advertised. The cool handle is such a nice feature & is comfortable for my petite hands. I need to buy the silicone pan protector because I have to stack my pans. Overall I'm extremely pleased with this pan & don't see any defects or flaws making it a factory second. I did learn that during sale promotions you have to act fast because they sell out quickly. I'm looking forward to purchasing other sizes. Highly recommend!

### ★★★★★ Glad I Purchased It!

I've been wanting to try a carbon steel pan for a while because I want a pan that has the properties of cast iron but also I wanted a pan that could be non-stick without the chemicals. This 10-inch pan was on sale so I thought I'd give it a try.
It's not lightweight, but it's also not as heavy as a cast iron pan.
My first cook in it was bacon, mainly because of the fat content that I could use to further season the pan. I just happened to be making a deluxe turkey sandwich so why not? By the way, I always start my bacon in a cold pan and then turn the heat to medium/medium low.
My second cook was scrambled eggs and, with a bit of butter, it passed the non-stick test. I'm not sure I needed the butter but, I also use butter in the teflon-coated pans. I also discovered this pan does not require as much heat as I would normally need for other pans. Low heat may be the way to go for certain foods such as scarmbled eggs.
I will give it the same treatment as I give my cast iron pan in that I will wash and dry it by hand and then season it with a small drop of avocado oil until I use it again.
This pan will be getting its fair share of use. I look forward to getting an 8-inch version and also getting rid of my teflon-coated pans for good.

### ★☆☆☆☆ Fake seasoning, over rusty surface

Sketchy. This Carbon Steel pan obviously was stored in a warehouse. I believe MadeIn sprayed their ' pre- season' over the rusty surface so when used, the spray sloughs and the food tastes like rust. The pan is a wreck.
Even on sale, is a horrible deal.

### ★★★★★ Awesome Pans

Great pans , love the heat control like a cast iron but way lighter of a pan . Can’t go wrong

### ★★★★★ Shape and material make it versatile

The shape of this pan is quite useful. I especially like it for dishes which are started on the stove and finished in the oven, like Turkish baked eggs (spinach wilted on stovetop as nest for eggs). The shape makes high-stir dishes more workable in a smaller pan, and makes serving easy. The finish make it low stick and will trend toward non-stick over time. It is already getting regular use.
