Kalimotxo (Red Wine Cocktail)

Easy to make and easier to drink, the kalimotxo is—hands down—our favorite cocktail for day drinking and evening barbecues.

Ingredients
  • 4 ounces (½ cup) fruity young red wine, preferably Spanish, such as tempranillo or grenache
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • 1 orange or lemon wedge
  • 4 ounces (½ cup) cola, such as Coca-Cola
  • Club soda or sparkling water (optional)
Instructions
    1.

    Add ice to a Red Wine Glass.

    2.

    Add red wine and orange bitters. Squeeze lemon into Glass.

    3.

    Top with cola (and soda, if using) and stir gently. Serve immediately.
